Dragonfly Meditation is a secular (non-religious) mindfulness based studio which offers meditation instruction, drop-in meditation, special workshops, and retreats.

Mindfulness for Anxiety Group

with Ann Marie Arvoy, MA, LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)

Mindfulness based interventions are very effective in reducing depression, anxiety and stress related difficulties.  In this five week structured group, you will learn to:

•    Identify the negative thinking patterns that affect your mood and create anxiety

•    Empower yourself to when you have negative thoughts or become anxious

•    Create a personalized plan to for integrating mindfulness into your life

Fees: $200 for the five week group ($40/session); insurance may be accepted, please request information
Location:  Dragonfly Meditation Studio – 11649 N Port Washington Rd Suite 225, Mequon

Introduction to Mindfulness

Many research studies have shown that integrating mindfulness practices into your life can reduce anxiety, depression, stress, chronic pain and other health difficulties.  This class is designed for beginners who want to learn basic mindfulness skills and discover ways to integrate these into daily life.  You will learn:

            *What mindfulness means

            *Scientific studies of the effectiveness of mindfulness

            *How to reduce your daily stress

            *How to integrate mindfulness into daily life

Presence Through Movement

With Caroline Raffel CYT250, CMI

Allow breath-centered movement to increase your daily ease.

In this experiential workshop you will:

•                Learn about the mind/body/heart connection for creating overall well-being

•                Practice yoga based movement while placing your awareness on noticing and feeling what your whole body.

•                Quiet the mind with walking meditation

•                Learn and practice somatic exercises that re-set your nervous system

•                Create a personal daily routine of mindful movement

All levels welcome; dress for movement.

Extended Practice Day

with Ann Marie Arvoy, MA, LPC, Certified Meditation Instructor

Immerse yourself into mindfulness practices for an extended period of time.  The day consists of sitting meditation, mindful movement, mindful walking, loving kindness meditation, and discussion. Lunch will be held in mindful silence. Snacks are provided, please bring your own lunch.
