Dragonfly Meditation is a secular (non-religious) mindfulness based studio which offers meditation instruction, drop-in meditation, special workshops, and retreats.

Yoga Classes

Hatha Restorative Fusion Yoga with Caroline Raffel CYT250

This class moves from hatha yoga into restorative yoga to first build strength and flexibility and then ground and deepen body inquiry. Hatha yoga is a balanced combination of sustained postures and postures flowing in a gentle progression. Restorative yoga uses props such as bolsters and blankets to fully support the body, allowing it to open slowly and naturally. Meditation, breath focus, and yoga postures are all based in a mindfulness practice. All levels welcome.

This is class for students who have little to no experience with yoga, or for experienced students who want to bring it back to basics. Using a combination of postures, movement, and breath you will build strength, flexibility, and balance. The focus on alignment for every body type allows for a safe learning experience. If you have been curious about yoga, but a bit intimidated walking into a class, this series may be for you.

Yoga Nidra with Caroline Raffel CYT250 and Certified Meditation Instructor

Yoga Nidra is a guided scripted practice that helps one to reach the deepest state of relaxation that can be achieved while still being awake. Usually done while lying down with the support of blankets and cushions, Yoga Nidra may assist with the release of stress, trauma, chronic pain, and other physical and emotional ailments. Practicing Yoga Nidra helps you connect body, mind, and spirit. *No yoga experience is needed.

In this hatha yoga class:

*Practice holding postures to increase strength and create a healthy spine and strong inner core.

*Build a strong meditation posture and develop mindful posture habits.

*Attention is given to the breath and focus while building muscle strength and flexibility.

*Increase mind/body integration through a short dedicated meditation.

*Movements are done slowly and with mindfulness, moving toward equal parts of work and relaxation.

*All levels are welcome.

Presence Through Movement Workshop

With Caroline Raffel CYT250, Certified Meditation Instructor

Allow breath-centered movement to increase your daily ease.

In this experiential workshop you will:

•                Learn about the mind/body/heart connection for creating overall well-being

•                Practice yoga based movement while placing your awareness on noticing and feeling what your whole body.

•                Quiet the mind with walking meditation

•                Learn and practice somatic exercises that re-set your nervous system

•                Create a personal daily routine of mindful movement

All levels welcome; dress for movement.
