I was a "non believer" when I came to one of the meditation sessions at the urging of a family member.  It was an interesting experience.  I decided to try it alone (not in a group).  After a couple of sessions, I was hooked!  The benefits are many!  I have a better way of working through the stress in my daily life.  I approach my work, children and husband from a place of mindfulness and not just a reaction to what is happening.  I am a better business person, parent and spouse.  I have the clarity to make hard decisions with ease.  If you would have asked me 6 months ago what I would gain from meditation, I would have said "not much".  I wouldn't have been more wrong!  I have said to many people that living more in the moment and being more mindful has given me internal strength, peace and a better outlook for working with the challenges that come with working, having a family and getting what I want out of life.  I am very thankful for everything that I have learned so far.  Everyone should give meditation a try - several times!  Just like anything else, the more you do it, the better you become and the bigger the rewards are!
